SUBTROPICAL DEPRESSION SEVENTEEN
NWS #WIKI-HURRICANES/WIKIPEDIA HURRICANE CENTER ATTC17-1
1415 UTC WED OCT 6 2010
Subtropical depression 17 formed in the Atlantic ocean today. No central convection exists, but depression-force winds have been found. Dvorak-like techniques indicate it has become subtropical. Trends indicated in a recent ATDS did continue, as 17 has formed. Minimal shear exists in the area, but if 17 moves north, it will surely die out. Models predict 17 to go north a bit before turning east out to sea, where it will near the Azores and die with a subtropical storm at it's side.
