THE HURRICANE CENTER WIKI IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL STORM RICHARD NEAR THE COAST OF HONDURAS. FURTHER INFORMATION ON THIS SYSTEM CAN BE FOUND IN THE ATTC SECTION OF THE ATLANTIC PAGE.

  1. AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE NEAR THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS IS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A HARSH ENVIRONMENT. WHILE CONVECTION IS STILL PRESENT, SHEAR IS NOT CONDUCTIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT, AND THERE IS A VERY LOW CHANCE, 10%, OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL OR SUBTROPICAL SYSTEM IN THE NEXT 5 DAYS. THERE IS A VERY LOW CHANCE, NEAR 0%, OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL OR SUBTROPICAL SYSTEM IN THE NEXT 10 DAYS.
  2. A DISTURBED AREA IN THE EASTERN CARIBBEAN SEA IS FORECAST BY SOME MODELS TO FORM IN ABOUT TEN DAYS. WHILE IT IS FAR OUT, THERE IS NO CHANCE, 0%, OF THIS FORECAST AREA TO BECOME A TROPICAL OR SUBTROPICAL SYSTEM IN THE NEXT 5 DAYS. THERE IS A LOW CHANCE, 15%, OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMING A TROPICAL OR SUBTROPICAL SYSTEM IN THE NEXT 10 DAYS.
